Will my com spoil like that?
It's possible that you'll get hard disk errors from the sudden loss of power. Just like it's possible that you'll get lung cancer from smoking. It's not guaranteed to happen but it's recommended that you don't do it, just in case.
Hmm, didnt see diskcheck when i rebooted it. Argh, some idiot in my block must be running some partical ion cannon.
find him and kill him
The actual electrical components won't be affected, however as said you may get data corruption if the HDD was busy at the time it shut off. Basically whatever file it was writing to could be lost or damaged.
Get an UPS, problem solved.
You don't want the power to go off if you're flashing your BIOS.

can u mess up your computer by turning it off by the power button?
Yes, but the chance of screwing something is much less.sithao wrote:

Just be glad he's not running a Big Bertha or worse, a Vulcan. Can't do shit when those things are firing, unless you build 7 Fusion Plants, to cope with everything.Ayumiz wrote:

if you live in 240v land, get a seasonic with variable voltage, works wonders for power dips and brownouts since the input will go all the way down to 100v without dropping the power to the comp.
