As the title says, i'll start off:
There's no such thing as an unselfish deed.
There's no such thing as an unselfish deed.

Holy shit, MIKE!!!Sneaky.Russian wrote:

when adam and eve had babies. then those babies (once they grow up) had to reproduce
therefore
if a bother and sister make more babies
then the out come = inbred babies
were all inbred?
(this one cancels out the adam and eve story)
Guess that`s an encouraging thought with all your nails pulled and your ass filled with liquid steel, yay i`m a hero ! Very selfish indeed !autopilot wrote:

Well how about not being called a squealer even if his side wins the war, or support of the cause => Beliving in what he is being tortured for.Varegg wrote:

That must have been Abeline, a well hid secret but Abel was just a very ugly chica !Volatile_Squirrel wrote:
Adam and Eve had two children that we know of. Cain and Abel. When they grew up, Cain went off and found a wife. Just where exactly did this woman come from?
well he left them when he was a child. i'm not sure if he still knew them. but if they were Buddhists then he was attempting to help them to. and it would only be their selfishness wanting him to live not the other way around.Entertayner wrote:

umm, ok so a baby in a pram is sitting in the middle of the road. a bus is coming. do you push the pram out of the way (with or without risk of life or limb) because:DonFck wrote:
Your theory is IMO valid; I've actually discussed the same thing with my good friend (a philosophy-student). There actually is no such thing as an unselfish deed.
E.g. help an old lady across the street is generally considered as unselfish, but what are the motives to help? The answer is: To feel good about oneself. The "unselfish" deed is actually selfish, as the primary motive is to release endorphins in the brain.
This should be moved to D&ST.
