it, in my opinion, decreases your chances of being hit.
it decreases bullet deviation.
For baur for example:
Standing: 1.3
Crouching: 1.1
Its more noticable with sniper rifles.
And yeah it makes you a smaller target.

it makes a huge difference with support guns.
I always crouch when I'm about to shoot, and I never prone, that way I'm as accurate as possible.
i hate people who crouch spam when im trying to snipe them..they are basically teabagging the ground until i fire and miss my shot..then they shoot my back in the face

Yes.. Yes it does increase your accuracy noticeably.
Crouch is the new prone. At close range, prone is just stupid, as it throws your accuracy to shit. Unless you're planning on knifing, where it doesn't really matter. lol, I prone spam (teabag) my victims on occasion, and it often saves me from that random bullet that *would* have hit me in the face.
yea prone takes like a second to get accurate.... also i watch the baur haur ownage vid and he spammed like hell!!!!
