I tried silkroad and I was impressed. It was almost worth paying money for if you're into that sort of game. I found it boring after about 2 hours though.

Agree. Good beta FPS, lots of fun.

The weapon purchase system is a good design. Ingame money is earned through kills and flag caps which enables unlock purchases for certain time periods. To try out an unlock, just buy it for a day. If you don't like it, you only paid a little ingame money to try it. If you want it, pay to keep it longer. I recommend the MP5K as sidearm, has a wicked rate of fire for CQB. Combine that with a sniper rifle or M16 and you have the ultimate soldier.
