"Correct the past, direct the present, discern the future."
My latin's more than a little rusty, though. Where did you find it? A bit of context would help. It looks like the kind of line you'd find spouted by some ancient dictator or something, or perhaps something from dystopian sci-fi. It absolutely screams to me of "1984".
