HIGH END PROCESSORS: AMD X2 series, FX series and better. Intel C2D series or the better CPU's from older series.
MID RANGE PROCESSORS: AMD 64 range and better. Intel P4 3GHz and better
LOW END PROCESSORS: AMD sempron and older, Intel P4 <3GHz and lower

If you don't know, DONT VOTE!

This poll is based on the fact that players I know who have high-end PC's get no weird gameplay, while those who share my problem have mid/low range CPU's.

IF YOU ARE NOT ABSOLUTELY SURE, DO NOT VOTE.

I run on a P4 2.8, OC'd to just short of 3.3, running quite stable. (I voted low end, btw). I have never experienced hitreg issues on BF2, but once or twice on 2142 (Titan mode).

I have a mid-range CPU, and have no reg problems.

I run a P4 3.2 hyper-threading cpu with 1gb of ram and a 512 graphics-card. I've never noticed bad hitreg...maybe a little on occasion, but nothing to complain about.

Could be my 100ms ping though. (No ranked servers in Iceland)

AMD 64 X2 4800+

The only probs I get are at 200-400 meter sniping on Oman (yay for flags telling me distance), when sometimes I hit people and it doesnt register.

That is probably just my nub sniping skills though.

But yeah, I put down in the High end - No probs section

I do notice some hit reg problems. It is also taking awhile for it to say 'You killed xxxx'.

It takes longer now.

e6600 dual core 7950 GT, I never get any reg problems unless the person I'm shooting at has 100+ ping. I have 40 - 60 ping generally.

I have a mid-range CPU, and have occasional bad reg. (I really want to upgrade - at least I'm in with the mode!)
Anyhow, hasn't anyone realised that the higher end computer you have, the more likely it is to have bad hitreg (worse in mid-range).
Indeed, this 'mid-range madness' leads me to assume that the reason for the weird correlation between the 'spec' of the computer and the hitreg that it entails. Therefore, surely this is practically null and void and presents hardly any use as what is terrible hitreg to one man is nothing whatsoever to another. Also, some sadistic gits out there may just try to gain some pleasure out of purposefully posting something wrong. Indeed, some may discount your categorising and say something such as this: "mY B0x0R is +3H L3E+ anD 1+ OWNS 4lL 0f J00r nO081$H COmpU+3R$! "
Although this is a good idea in principle, we can't hold the outcomes as, realistically, anywhere near the truth. It's a shame to say, but this is practically useless.

I regularly have bad hit reg.
TV on choppers is horrible.
I have to knife twice 90% of the times.
Headshots with sniper rifles on prone targets often register at the 2nd or 3rd try.

But my average ping is 90-110.

Good thread.

I have a 3800+ X2 not OC'ed and I get around 50fps (after I fixed my sound issue, before I was getting >20 fps) and not the best graphics card (x800)

I wouldn't call my CPU high end either.  I chose mid-range.  I don't get bad reg at all really.  Once I fixed my shit, I play a lot better.

I have a high-end CPU, and have occasional bad reg.  I SVD h/s moving targets frequently.

But as far as classification, NO, as far as BF2 is concerned, the high-end non-X2 AMD's will smoke the low-end X2.

I have a low-end CPU, and have occasional bad reg.
AMD Athalon XP 3000+ 2.8GHz - running at 2.1
512MB RAM
ATI 9600AGP 128Mb grfx card.

The only time I encounter bad hit reg is on moving targets, who are running across my screen. Infantry weapons and vehicle HMG's all give the same shit.
Although, oddly enough, snipers (M95 anyway - the others suck) and the knife dont ever pose a problem.
TV's obviously are the same and only register on the rear ends of the choppers.

Shit, i voted "I have a high-end CPU, and have no reg problems." but i meant to vote for "I have a high-end CPU, and regularly get bad hitreg."

Right, i have an AMD X2 4600, X2 7900 GS's in SLi and 2gb of ram. I still get the same hit rego as when i had an AMD 3200, 6800 GS and 1gb of ram.

*sigh* i wish they would fix the hit rego in a patch
