Sound Card problem, HELP!

ok this is the deal:
i decided to buy an scheap sound card for my computer, i buyed the sweex 4.1 PCI sound card(a.k.a SC001)
so i want to install it and do the next steps:

- deactivate onboard soundchip
- driver cd in cd-drive
- click install drivers

so the setup starts loading and then stops with "waiting for audio drivers to be ready", and it stawys there for ages, i've let it run for like 15-30 minutes (setup says install will only take a few minutes). and then the setup shuts down with an error(look at screenies). onboard sound chip is fucked, so im not going to use that one again.

i tried to install it with the windows hardware install, windows said the install has succeed, and need to reboot.
after reboot i look at hardware, no sound card. my usb headset is working, but not the headset that is plugged in on the sound card.

sys specs:
CPU: pentium 4 3ghz with HT
MEM: 2 GB ddr400 RAM
GPU: 7900GT 256
HDD: 160 gb maxtor hd
MOBO: Intel avalon D915GAV

you could always download the drivers off the manufacturers website

I'd be doing what this guy said, if that doesn't work get another card (not Sweex either lol).

Did you remove the drivers for your old audio?

no because i couldn't find them, they are not under software.

edit: there isn't any sound driver left i think, because i have no sound anymore what so ever. if i look under config panel>sound>audio: everything is gray, i can select nothing.

have you tried to install in safe mode? that might do the trick. also set all OCs back to stock

maybe a bit late, but i solved it!

I returned the stupid sweex 4.1, went to another town (wich had an computershop) and bought myself an creative soundblaster Audigy ! and it's great! it installed fine, got the creative media suite with it,
7.1 surround sound, i can enable EAX in bf2 and last but not least: the sound is beautifull! And all this for
just € 27,50 euro! and i always thought those creative soundblasters were so expensive
