So now that I have reinstalled everything the surround system finally works! and so does my Sound card that I bought ages ago and almost forgot I owned it. But im not impressed yet cause when I put it to Hardware settings in lets say BF2 and the Details on Low-Med-High it will ALLWAYS sound choppy in-game, I must say the sound I hear like from shooting is really 10000x better with the Hardware set on, but EAX is suppose to be BF2 supported and I checked the driver date and it was 01.07.2005 aka July 1st 2005 [no updates for it] so I think it should be able to run BF2

is there anything I forgot to do?

I had the same problem with my card for months until creative finally produced a working driver.  I'm assuming that the problem is that the voices stutters repeatedly?

Do you know the exact type name of your soundcard?  mines called the Audigy SE and did the above but now plays audio on hardware/high with no problems.

If you can find the full name i might be able to help you locate a 2006 driver.

edit: oh yeah & what continent do you live in:
American
Europe
Africa
Asia
Middle east
etc

Same card as me.

Right not sure how if drivers are somehow different based on where they are bought but give this one a try:

http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/
Select Sound Blaster = audigy = audigy se
And that should hopefully lead to a april 2006 driver.

If that driver has any problems with the country then follow the steps through this site to get to the 'Audigy SE'

Basically your problem is BF2, with sound rendering set to hardware, doesn't handle low-end soundcards very well. I used to have that problem with my old machine, it had a now old but at the time it was bought a fairly decent Creative Soundblaster Live! card. However, when I tired hardware rendering in BF2 I had the same problem you are having - shooting etc sounding very good but voices stuttering and everything lagging.

You either need to get a new soundcard (Creative X-Fi is recommended) or just leave the sound on Software.

Edit: Also I tried all sorts of drivers etc. Even tried replacing/upgrading BF2 OpenAL files but I couldn't get it to work properly.

I have the same card as Missionless and it works fine on hardware at high.  Simple fact is the driver shipped with this card couldn't handle eax despite the box banging on about how great it could handle EAX and listing a load of games it supported including bf2.  After months of angry emails etc creative eventually made a driver that works.
