Currently I have been using Logitech headsets, now I have gone through about 7-8 of them in about 6 months. Defiently not good, sometimes it will lose noise in one side, others the microphone will just blow out. Soo... I want a new one, but also not TOO expensive (under 50 dollars). Thank you in advance!

EDIT: BTW, this is the headeset I've been using all these times.

I've had a good experience with a Logitech joystick, but not there headphones.

Ive been using a cyber acoustic $20 mike/headphone jack headset, and it seems to work, and before that I had a usb which crapped out after like a month, so if you get anything, go for one with the jacks, even if its dumb to have to plug them in in the back, they last alot longer and are cheaper.

Sorry man, I'm convinced there is no such thing as a good, comfortable, durable headset. I have the same problem as you, I've gone through 7 or 8 since October. Maybe if you get one of those uber expensive ones but I had a $90 pair that just crapped out on it's own in about 2 weeks (Altec Lansing i think). Some people like the Razer ones but I've heard they hurt like hell after an hour or so plus they get pretty shitty reviews @ newegg unless you have the sound card.
If you find one be sure to lemme know though, tbh bad hitreg kills more of my headphones than anything else if you know what I mean so I've never owned one pair for more than 2 weeks (not my fault, I'm Irish).

I believe Sennheiser's headsets are supposed to be good, but they're expensive. I've been using a logitech internet chat headset for the last year and it's still fine.

You love these Plantronics USB, great mic, and bass. I can wear them for hours, no problem.

Check eBay of course or pricegrabber for the best deal.

Got this back last July. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ … ENTID=6339

Has yet to fail on me, the only problem is the little padded bit came off the mic, doesnt effect it, but im sure i can replace that.

I use these Altec Lansings:

http://www.alteclansing.com/product_det … =AHS302usb

They have great sound to them, and the mic is reliable.

I'm on my third pair because my daughter keeps breaking the cord...
But the one's I have now have lasted me longer.  I taught her how to plug her own headphones in.

Sennheiser PC155 USB.

Absolutely immense: excellent mic, comfy even for 3+ hours, excellent sound quality (3D).

Perfect for gaming.

I've had mine for a long time now with no problems.

Speedlink Medusa 5.1 ~70€

https://images.speed-link.de/prodpics/SL-8793/large/sl-8793_1.jpg

I´ve tried some logitech´s, plantronics, sennheisser etc etc. No match for the Medusa. If you have a X-Fi also, yaaaay f*cking yaaaaaay.

this is solved then, I always have the last word

I really like my Sharkoon X-tatic 5.1. Only problem is that they cost around 100€. they come with Pro logic decoder, and they have optical input.

These two know what they're talking about. Sennheiser make the best headsets I have found. They have a great sound & microphone quality, last, and are comfortable the long stretches of gaming. Truly a gem and well worth the higher price - you get quality.
