How long dose it take for you to log in and stuff?

it takes me like 1-2 minutes to log in. Then about 1-2 minutes to join a server.

Well, I would say this depends on your hardware (RAM, CPU, GPU) and your int3rn3tz provider, -connection. I bet if you still usw wooden modems, the chances for a 1-2 minute connection are eh, pretty rare.

About 3-5 min to get a response from the account server, about 5-10 minutes to load a map, and another ~5min to cache it (meaning 10-15 fps for the first 5min of play).

I'm so jealous. I play mostly on low and from the time I click the BF2 icon, it'll be nearly 10 minutes before I playing. :'(

Not sure about login times since I'm set to auto-login.

It takes me 5-10 secs to log in. I have it were once I click on the bf2 icon, it logs me in automatically and goes straight to the main menu.

depending on the server, anywhere between 10 and 30 seconds of veryfying client data

This time is the same for me.

My hardware is as follows
AMD FX-60
7900GT 256 mb EVGA graphics cards running in SLI
2 GB OZC DDR400 ram
2 74 gb Raptor 10,000 rpm hard drives

should it take that long for me? my specs are: x700pro, 200gb hd @ 7200 RPM, 2 x 512 pc3200, mobo unknown ( damn gateway crap) It cost me 1600 for this shit system. I know i could of got a GOD system for that price. But, my parents would not buy anything from ibuy power or anything. They say its not, " brand name" I even made threads about ibuypower and i tryed everything.

EDIT: i just tryed that dlete the servers u dont use and i log in in like 3 seconds now.

Recently it's been taking a lot longer than normal to log in: more than 30 seconds to over a minute. Normally it's about 10-20 seconds I think.

Time to join a server varies quite a bit for me, but usually not more than a minute.

Yeah, someone else mentioned the same thing last week sometime, so I just assumed it wasn't a problem on my end but a slowdown in the account server (it's happened before). Sometimes you can't log in at all, which again is usually not due to the player's end of things.

Dang dude, I got an e6600 2gb, 7950GT KO, 10k rpm HD with a gigabyte 945 mobo for $1300. You should have told your parents to give me a call (if they will believe someone who works for microsoft, lol).
