Karma-shmarma!
You only have 5,000 points total, meaning you started a new account! My SPM includes the learning curve! So HA!
couldn't you just let me feel good about myself for a few hours
Yeah, its true that the screen is made in the same factory, but the processing unti and other hardware is not. And if you study up on a bit, you will find those components are VERY important in HDTV performance. I chose size over 1080p, especially since most HD signals are in 720p and not 1080p. 1080p is only good for PS3, Xbox 360 and/or Blu-ray/HD-DVD.mavrick 3399 wrote:

Edit sony use the same screen as samsung! just a little thought for the original poster
Samung is a good company too though, I have a 20" Samung monitor. Its my second Samsung flat panel and I love it!
Also, 1080p is almost unrecognizable at the 40" level and honestly is recommended for TVs over 40". If there were 5 720p 40" TVs next to eachother and 1 1080p TV in mix within them, you could find it. I wouldn't get a 1080p LCD smaller than 50". I just got a great deal on this TV, so I made an impulse since I was passively in the market. =-)
