I was looking at two differen't Samsung monitors and i saw two that are basicly the same exept one has dvi and the other has d-sub the two monitors are the 940n - d-sub and 940B- DVI the price differnce is about $50 aus$ which is about $30us (i think). I just wanted to know if the differnce notacable enough to pay extra $$ for? I will be using this monitor mainly for games if that helps.

DVI is digital and takes it's signal striaght from the graphics cards digital output.

D-Sub is analogue and the signal has to be converted from digital to analogue by the graphics card before it can be displayed, and as will all signal conversion there is always a little bit of signal quality loss.

Go with the DVI.

DVI will definitely give you better text quality.  Unlike a CRT which is analog, an LCD is digital.  Using the D-Sub input with an LCD means the digital data in your computer has to be converted to analog using the card's DAC.  How well this happens depends on the DAC and filters.  This data is sent to the display where it then has to be converted back to a digital signal.

D-Sub is definitely not the optimal way to go with an LCD, and I too would say it is worth the few extra dollars (or whatever your currency is) to get the DVI model.
