I'm puttin in my new power supply now but before I bolt the monster in I'm gonna replace my ugly black fans with pretty blue LED ones. I have one quick question though, the LED fans have have the regular 4 pin power supply connector (is that called molex?) & a 3-pin motherboard connector. Is one for power & the other for monitoring or can I choose which one I want to use? Will I still be able to glow pretty blue if I only use the mobo connector?

Normally I would just try it out instead of bothering you good people but it's gonna be a bitch to get all my wires in order & I don't want to bolt my PSU in until I have that done & once it's done it restricts where I can put my wires.....does that make sense?

Wires. I lol'd

Yeah, you can choose which conection you want. With the molex (4 pin) you just get the maximum fan speed. With the 3-pin, you can monitor fan speed and with programs you can alter it.

Depends really, I personally prefer the 3-pin, so much easier than the thick molex connectors.

*EDIT* LED brightness depends on fan speed: as speed goes up so does the LED luminance

You should be able to but the light will be weaker.  This is assuming that you have 3 wires for the mobo connector.  cause some mobo connects are just one to monitor the RPM.  But if you want full glow and more speed you the 4pin molex connector.
