about to install vista and need to know what to do after reformatting, can someone please explain what i need to do.

so far ive downloaded these

ive got Intel Viiv tech. so i chose this
Application (Viiv)
Chipset (as it was the only one)
Display
FlashBIOS Updates (as it was the only one)
Printer Drivers
Video Adapter

Those are XP drivers, doubtful they'll work with Vista.

start your pc, in bios change first boot device to cd, then go through the process of loading the recovery command prompt, type in help so you can see what commands then choose the reformat one.

best way is, open up ure rig.. look at the stickers and all the hardware and get the brand and make and go to the actual parts' manufacturer's websites and download their latest drivers (Dell sucks)

put the new drivers on a cd, backup ure stuff and reformat

when vista is installed, first thing u do is get the updates.. depending on your version there might be anywhere from 1-10 updates to do... install ure antivirus/antispyware and update them (Recommend Microsoft OneCare, it's actually better than expected) install your stuff and ure done
