I'm in need of some technical support here...
I've been playing 2142 since it came out and I've never had much trouble with glitches, until today...

-Game loads fine

-select a server that I've played on before with no difficulty

- I click "join game" and it brings up the map & menu

*****AT THIS POINT MY CONTROLS (KEYBOARD & MOUSE)
STOP WORKING*****

-I am still able to alt-tab, and ctrl-alt delete - out of the game
-But nothing happens when I press esc. or any other key

My only way out is to close the program...

...Please help!!!!

Well this  happen to me before with bf2 all you have to do is before you join any server you got to > options > controls and you will see empty field so then set them again or just hit the restart to default button...

1. Failure to search: This question has been asked and answered numerous times on the forums, a quick search would have turned up the answer rather easily.
2. Uninformative post title: The title, "Help!" is actually specifically listed in the rules as titles not to use for topics, it doesn't tell anyone browsing the forums what your post is about and will limit the number of helpful responses.
Please read the rules of the site again as you only just recently agreed to them when you signed up for an account.

Hey, did you happen to delete the contents of the controls.con file? Try deleting the file entirely, then starting the game up again.

The controls.con file contains all the key bindings and such, but also how each axis behaves on your controllers. Getting rid of the lines that explain how the mouse's cursor moves with the map screen open, along with aiming, will mean you simply can't move your mouse or aim.

You can find the controls.con file in your profile (something like 0001), which is in your My Documents' BF2142 directory. Good luck!
