Is it me or do the rockets on the gunship suck at killing infantry, I shoot 10 rockets at one person and the rockets still manage to miss, sometimes the rockets hit and kill infantry, not to mention the splash damage sucks if any. I find it hard to knock down infantry on my own because of this. Anyone else get this when using the gunship?
Aim?
Yup, you pretty much need a gunner if you're gonna be succesful against infantry.
I find it very very hard to hunt down infantry troops and when I'm doing it the opposing air force pretty get a free ride out their titan to go get me.

Splash damage = 0, more or less.
You need a direct hit to kill inf. But I still think they need a bit more power *thinking of BF2*
Or just run them over that what i do from time to time

*Thinking of Bf2SF*
Law of gunships ->
Pilot flies + attempts air engagement (10% possible in doragon due to rubbish missile locks -> which is what i thought thread would be about)
Gunner kills stuff, or just spams tanks with chaingun.
Killing infantry is possible, but due to splash damage it means you have to point your face right at the ground and attempt 1 direct hit or 2/3 very close hits

Yeah, roadkill FTW always hillarious...loonitic wrote:

Just run the infantry over, I find this to be effective(and entertaining) if they are on a flat surface and do not have a squad leader drone(they make you explode).
The rockets do suck for killing infantry, i'd say that I kill 50% on my first pass, maybe a little less?

either that or land your ship nearby and use the chaingunloonitic wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Thats what i do.max wrote:

That or aim the missles, unlike BF2 5 come out either side instead of 1 each.So an example is 5 come out slightly left then 5 come out slightly right.
This was done to prevent solo pilots from abusing air support. Unless you have a gunner you should be going after vehicle kills.Masterstyle wrote:

That's ~lame~. No offense, but if you gotta land the piece of crap you can even be a man and get out and kill him with your normal guns.max & jord wrote:

Yeah they do. There were 2 enemies on a roof and I shot 8 rockets and it didn't kill them. I came back and ran them over.
Whats the point in that when you can just sit in the Gunship and kill him with no danger...?danCer wrote:

well i guess there is no real point but just imagine it.
you can easily get piliumed or killed by a tank, rdx, etc. if you land the gunship like thatjord wrote:

Well you're doing it wrong, there's lots of ways to do it.Masterstyle wrote:

Try putting the shield up before you switch, that tanks care of the first 2.
There's no one right way to do it but you shouldn't be so close/taking so long that the guy can run a few feet switch to RDX put it on you and detonate.
Landing taking out infantry and taking off should all be done inside 10 seconds.
I can do that and i'm not even good at 2142.
