Back in high school a girl said that to me and I took no notice to it past a thanks, and come senior year found out she had a huge crush on me for the past two years.
Ok, on a serious note, next time you see her, say hi, ask to sit next to her, get a conversation struck up. Say stuff like "oh hi, how are you" "did you do anything on the weekend" just small talk, a conversation will start if you look her in the eyes and speak confidently. When your getting off the bus or leaving or whatever, give her your mobile number (if you have one). Hm, what else.... Ask if she has plans on the weekend (ask that during the conversation) and then suggest a place to go. Remember, always shout
