Post anything that fascinates you about nature in here. I know it's a stretch to think that any of us that belong to this stellar group of gamers would go outside however, maybe you rediscovered something on tv, like I just did.
As a kid I was intrigued by Peregrine Falcons, so when I was flipping channels a National Geographic special about Peregrine Falcons caught my attention. Peregrines hunt from above and, after sighting their prey, drop into a steep dive that can top 200 miles an hour. They pull over 25gs when they pull out of the dive and they have a transparent eyelid to protect their eyes from impact while they're diving. Imagine driving 200mph in a race car without a helmet . . . and having a bug hit your eye. That's why the Peregrine needs to protect its eyes.
