Single Fire / Burst Fire?

Hey guys,

I've been playing BF2 for 2 years now, and I'm still lost about this. Somehow I will switch to burstfire for no reason, and I don't know how to change back. As a result, I get killed even when I spot the enemy first. I'm sure there must be a certain configuration to press, and I pressed it accidentally. Can someone enlighten me on this? Thanks!

The semi/full/burst function is activated when you re-select the weapon with the mouse wheel.

For example, if you're using an assault rifle in full auto, scroll up, then scroll back down without selecting anything else, that puts it onto semi auto.

Best way is just to keep checking the icon at the ammo counter.

lol, press the button for your assult rifle again.

When you switch to the rifle a second time it changes the fire mode.

And you can actually see the finger come up & click the button on the gun(which you can also hear) if you pay close attention. Took me months to figure this out as well... damn A.D.D.

I disabled weapon-switching with the mouse. I kept switching weapons by accident all the time. It sucks to try to blow someone's head off with a medic bag.

LOL! OMG, I don't know how many times I've been holding the medic bag when someone comes around the corner shooting at me & I get all flustered & end up throwing it at them before I can change to my G36-E.
