right so everytime i summon the drone, it will either crash to the ground immediately and explodes or it hits my head and give me a death count and a -1 for suicide. its fuckingly annoying and frustrating to use the drone.

anyone have this problem too?

This has never happened to me before. I love having an Otus above my head. Gives me a sense of security, even if it does suck and has the worst radius ever.

mine happen everytime regardless of the map, game mode and anywhere i stand. it will either explode, give me a skull crack or sometime it works.... :S

i really love that drone...except for the accipiter which is a complete shit

It's happened to me a few times. I believe it has something to do with EA's "fixing" of the drone surfing "glitch" (BASTARDS! THAT WAS THE ONLY  GLITCH THAT WAS ACTUALLY FUN AND DIDN'T GRANT AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE! [/rant]). It usually helps for me (or seems to) if I'm crouching when I deploy the drone.

Oh, and by the way: before you go yelling at me that drone surfing granted an unfair advantage, I'll tell you why it didn't. So, why exactly didn't it? Because EA included in 2142 the ability to (*GASP!*) aim up.

The Otus is now a death trap.  It often fails to deploy (BOOM!) or hits you in the head for an unrecoverable death.  It wasn't this way in 1.1 patch.  It's a new bug, maybe the result of coding to eliminate surfing.

What'e weird is it only seems to cause problems on certain maps, specifically Cerbere and Belgrage.

As a result, I've taken to playing support as Squad Leader and using the PDA infantry sonor and hand-held infantry scan.  BUT I WANT MY UAV DRONE BACK!

the UAV drone is worst when you spawn on the 2nd floor of a building(Fall of Berlin/camp/etc.) because it WILL either hit the floor and explodes or your head because your on the...well....second floor....
