probably because a "transport chopper" that is otherwise a fully armed attack chopper would be a flag capping unbalancing game killer, not to mention if you could have engineers sitting in there.
Well an arms assault helicopter that has a crew of 2 and can hold another 8 passengers for an assult group. Yea talk about it would be like the original game model of the Black/Seahawk that we've seen pictures of that had the missle launchers on extension pilons off the sides. Though it would be cool to see it hold at least a few passengers.Kkookie wrote:

General Info sites about the Hint Mi-24/35:
http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/row/mi-24.htm
http://www.globalaircraft.org/planes/mi-24_hind.pl
This impressive site takes a while to load all the pictures but is quite good and neat to look at:

The Google Search:

Enjoy and read up!
Part of me does wish it handled a little slower than the fast attack helicopters and acted more like the dual role gunship/transport/cargo that it is.
BTW do you want to buy one? Check this out:

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." - Sinclair Lewis
That´s a really scary thought!dshak wrote:

It would have been nice if it was the transport version, but oh well. You can't give it that much bigger an advantage of the Apache.
hey, I know what I'm asking for, for Christmas!kilroy0097 wrote:

Well, It can transport up to 11 soldiers, as that is what it was designed for. The doors on the sides could remain closed so people couldn't shoot out or drop anything out.
But comon, this is battlefield, no one ever works as a team anyway so you'd only have 2 or 3 guys in it.

They don't give a price but i'n guessing anywhere from 20 million to a billion. (Giving on the different specs of it)

It's one of those, if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it, sort of things.
a hind would not cost anything close to a billion dollars... sigh, still recovering from that one. I think sometimes people lose track of what a BILLION dollars actually is. Its actually not even close to a million, let alone 20 million.
These are just not the most sophisticated things in the world, either in avionics or in weaponry. I'd guess that a state of the art fully loaded chopper might top that million dollar mark, but most of the ones on the market now are exponentially cheaper. After a short search I found one a collecter is selling stateside for less than a quarter mil, granted that would be absent of the weapons systems, one would assume.

you can buy an 82 model used for just $220,000, and if you're from new jersey you don't even need to pay shipping and handling!
