BF2S Forums Hardest award to obtain in terms of SKILL?

3. BF2: SF Expert Engineer Specialist without vehicle whoring (44 kills IAR with a shotgun? I don't think so.)

Have all 3 with roughly the requirements you put down and cant remember them being that hard to get either and expert repair was 25 repairs IAR when i got it

Would rank Expert Air, Helo and the Medal of Valor higher than those 3, and not to forget the War College Ribbon before it was tweaked !

what was the old Expert Knife requirments?

They removed the IAR requirements of 18 knifekills.

Yep. Now its just a total of 100 knife kills.

IF we're talking about whoring being o.k. but stat padding NOT, I'd say expert pistol.  OLD expert knife was one sneaky hit, one kill 18 times, not easy, but possible.  pistol, for me was worse, it takes the right hit and quick kill or you're toast.  I know the whole Sniper Rifle/pistol method, but that's still not too easy.

Repair is just a bitch, knowing where and what to whore for points.  I'd guess the best method is find a 1/3 full 64 man server, and find some enemy team that is c4 happy or AT kit happy.   I've never tried to get epxert repair, its just boring and frustrating.

Expert Heal is a breeze.  IO Jalalabad that allows uncap raping and wait by your squad and throw like mad.

most of the awards is just time.   I never fly anything, so all the chopper/jet awards might never happen.  Nothing really it TOO terribly hard.  It's just dedication and a bit of elbow grease.

Those three (and most others) only require a long enough round.  A mediocre player could achieve those in a 1 1/2 hour round easily.  Since all kit combat badge and air defence and ground defence can be earned with arty kills, they don't need skill either. 

The only award I can see that really needs some degree of skill is Good Conduct Medal (this is also made easier with a long round).  The old expert knife might have been the toughest to obtain, but still only really needs a long round.

Nah. With clays now being IFF mostly it's pretty easy. I actually got mine (and vet the same game) by accident, purely by using claymores to defend flags and flag access during a long-ass round; and honestly, I didn't want them.

Most people could get this with a single night's attempt if they know the right kind of server/game type and playing style. And do remember, if you are killing friendlies left and right it wouldn't take away from getting EEO as long as the explosion takes out an enemy at the same time. Sucky team score yes, but you still get the award.

Agreed; given how hard repair points are to earn this is one tough requirement.

Good shotgunners could do this without breaking too much of a sweat; again, with the right server/conditions.

I think it's worth bearing in mind for most of us that play alone if you don't play solo on random public servers you have a lot better chance of achieving many of the combat-related badges.

As long as they didn't get it on a K & P server. Still not easy, but not the same kind of difficult as on a normal server.

Expert heal...that is driving me crazy,ive tried oh so many times.....16,17,18,19 heal points...game ends...FUCK!
Expert explosives is proving to be a pain to.

Expert Repair.....NAH....If enemy caps your MEC base on Kubra, and keeps destroying Commander assets, you will have it in no time.

Expert Heal.....NAH.....Just Medic Whore, and stay near your squad leader.  I don't think I fired 1 shot the entire round, when I got mine.

Expert Explosive......NAH.....Just ClayWhore the Palace on Warlord.  Be sure to have a resupplier with you.




Expert Pistol will be my problem.  I highly doubt I will be able to get 18 kills in 1 round with a pistol.  Getting Vet Pistol (7 in a round) was bitch.  I am not sure how people get this with out going on a K & P server.  Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The 3 im missing, expert explosives (please note in Aus we only play with FF and Mine FF on... spaming = almost instant kick from TK's), heal and repair.

I got the 18 IAR expert knife (actually got 19)... on a full 64 player sharqi (with vehicles).

18 pistol I got in an IO server(NOT a PK), but in a normal server it's extremly hard. IO is just a lesser form of stat padding, and to prove it, I got the badge on my first attempt (and not just 18, but 26 pistol kills 8 AR kills and 7 deaths) (in IO server) its just tooo easy.
I have got 19 repairs IAR, but at the time you needed 25 for the badge so was still 6 away.

And I should have got the expert explosives the same round as I got vet, but 2 of my kills were [killed] not [c4]. Also that was back in the day when you could C4 throw and the requirements were also 37 kills IAR not 30.

I also was like 16 wins away from the 3:1 WLR to get my WCR when they changed the requirements... I'm a little pissed about that, because I sacrificed SPM and KDR to win many rounds. My WLR is now about 4.45, and I still need 7000 command points for the ribbon.

Expert pistol (which I don't have) would be the hardest, IMO.

It all depends on the player. Getting 18 knife kills IAR is easier for me than getting say, 40 kills as a kit for the simple kit gold badges.
