Why are they so hard to get, or what am i doing wrong?

Because you get only one point for 100% repair of something, the only real way to get them is to either tank whore with a buddy or repairing commander assets a lot. I think they should be easier to get, like a point for 50% of repairing.
Not doing anything wrong. The point system got ner.. altered and repair points are annoying now. You can try driving around as an engi and repairing tanks, but unless they're getting hit and living through it you'll prolly die as well.
You should be able to throw toolkits like you can throw ammobags and medikits
Repairing your tanks is one of the best things you can do for your team. And how is it rewarded? With 1 repair point if you are lucky. You should get at least 3 points for repairing a vehicle from 1 to 100%.
However, afaik the best way to get repair points now is to repair commander assetts and blackhawks.

if you're trying for the basic repair, do mashtuur city (try the FMG mashtuur only server), i was commander and one of the things the enemies loved to do was continuously blow up my artillery, so i easily got 15 repair points in one round
too bad i don't have 15 hours for engineer yet or i could snagged myself a vet repair badge...

Btw: Ghost Town is the new Mashtuur. Try the 24/7 ghost town servers, play SAS and get in the blackhawk.

the attack choppers are worse... nothing more annoying then continually getting assraped by a heli pilot, when i just want to snipe in peace and quiet, lol

Yeah, just run around the back of your tanks and APC's fighting and wrench away, not only will you get lots of repair points but if you're good the enemy will be vanquished even if they had more people

you know what helps.. got to moders 24/7 strike at karkand or any other 24/7 strike at karkand map.. take a tank or apc be engi and stick around the other apc or tank.. when they get hit u fix them.. i usually get like 7 repairpoiunts per round with this technique.. make sure that the guy your helping also is an engi else they will shoot u..Mosh wrote:

i do that.. but there is so much AA their.. in the Mashtuur city there were only like 2 SAMs and now there are like 40 SAMS and 3 AA vehicles so when I hover i am like swinging around like a fool.. tking people which are bailing out..still like the map:D BH is so F*ck ass cool:DUb3r-ElitE wrote:

its a f*cked up system because it wont get a ammo point when i have givin 100% of ammo.. no i will get allready when they have shot one nade or one clip of ammo.. should work the same with repairs:Dslidero wrote:

repair points are a lot harder than they used to be, and 1.03 is why. So many people wanked about engi's repairing the blackhawk in flight on maps like Mastuur, so they wanted to tone that down, but they globally toned down the engi's abilities. Every other badge they made silly easy to get with 1.03, but they made the engi repair badge very difficult
