Fact is if people think they can just roll in to a flag area with that vechile they are gonna get raped. Because in the Beta we managed to destroy it before it came to the first flag. 5 engineers with pillum can do pretty heavy damage on it. It needs infantry outside to take care of the AT people. Then we have motions mines lovely fellas that's do heavy damage against it
Not to talk about the unlock that makes all those motion mines seek up their target.
Can you walk around in it or is it a case of F2,F3 etc?
Ehm Its a vechile not a hotel, Its F2 and F3 setup.

Aha, you're right about that. I would have like to see a flag by flag mod, not just that the last flag get uncapable. Or (for example at Liberation of Liepzieg) you could be able to take the first two flag, and when you've captured one of the two flags you can cross the bridge and chose among maybe three new flags. And so on..ShawN_ wrote:
No but the maps have more "bottle necks" than the other 2142 maps,,, like the bridge map (don't recall name) where you have to cross the bridge or swim for about 20 mins to get to the other side,,, an ifv could easely hold the bridge i think

I think the Goliath was made so that the NS maps don't turn into a Fall of Berlin style own fest if the EU is at least a quarter-way competent.
But we'll have to see in approx. 4 days...
Edit: 6 days...

uhm,, dude.. the IFV is an EU unit :p only adding to the own fest but the hatchimoto (you try and spell it ) will be able to annoy an IFV quite abit if its in the hands of a skilled driver with a decent gunner (not too many of those though let alone anyone capable of hitting anything with TV misslesZCaliber wrote:

I hate bragging but i can hit with 2 out of 3 TV's to their max. range which is aprox. 320 metres too bad it sets of the "lock alarm" in vehicles find that odd actually because it is guided and not tracking...

There is no water in NS. It's all frozen, but you refer to the "Bridge At Remagen' Map, so unless you trully now what you are talking about I suggest you don't say anything.ShawN_ wrote:

Not really, the new "assault line"- mode will just make the last flag an uncap. You can still capture all other flag in any order you want. But the defending team will always have the last flag as uncap until you captured all other flag. It's NOT flag by flag like POE.
Oh comon,, if you take away our expectations, what else do we have Let us guess abit eh ? :pBernadictus wrote:

Bridge at Remagen: Big ass bridge connecting both sides of the river. One part of the bridge is collapsed so you can drive down an up. The map is pretty balanced since the EU get a UD-12 after capturing the west side of the bridge. Some flags were intended to be infantry only capture, but if you can maneuver your walker right you can get to them.
Port Bavaria: Basicly a PAC Rape Party. You need to pod up as EU using the AMV-2 to find a full team off PAC waiting for you. Your chance of survival -less than 25%.
Liberation of Leipzig: The best map there is is NS, I won't say more.
Both Bridge at Remagen and Port Bavaria also contain a titan variant. But in the beta Titan movement was disabled (I hope) so here wasnt really a city rape fest using the Titan guns.
Thanks that was very helpfull good post ^^ +1Bernadictus wrote:

With the Goliath, if a couple of Squads take it down fully laden with troops I take it the Kills get awarded to the final shot that blew it.
Is this not a tad bit unfair? An Engineer could just turn up, take one shot and get a whole load of Kills! Not bad for the Eng but a load of pissed of team mates!

But pointsystem like the one in warcraft would take too much server power ... i dont really care about that .. i allways kill APC's and Tank's in 1 or 2 shots giving

Why? Because even in a squad that works to take the IFV down, the kills will be awarded to the guy who puts in the final shot.
"There can only be one."
yes and no, if your not an idiot you could probably find a way around it, unless its whoring a flag in which case get all the other flags and force them into a 'move or lose by point bleed' situation, or see if you can get on top of the building they are against and drop C4 on them, hopefully the driver will panic and move or just resupply and pwn some moreShawN_ wrote:
EDIT: OMG OMG something just hit me !! What if this baby got parked in a corner with 3 ppl whoring everyone around,, you would have no way to destroy the 4 repairgenerators on the 2 sides which faces the walls!!! O_o
also 2 people one engy and one support with EMP grenades would work wonders
But it moves at the about the same speed as a walking troop.-[Silver.Inc* wrote:

You expect me to look at the Goliath and tremble? Prediction: The top 5 players in the world whoring the Goliath in a corner with only one side exposed to attack, vs. just me in lite armor using only my knife....and I put my money on me and don't look back. I'll take out the Goliath in less than 10 seconds using just a knife. I was in the beta and I know how do to it.
My sentiments exactly..... on that note... I'm gonna refresh my pilum skillz abit... been a whileVaregg wrote:

Is recon going to be able to RDX this thing? Camo up to it and drop all the RDX you've got? Or is it a step by step gradual destruction of the goliath, kind of like the titan? This is all very interesting to me... BTW, would love to know Afrika how to destroy the goliath with a knife...
Correct. Unless you disable about 3 of the regen cells, this baby wont fall. Hachimoto's do jack against a fully crewed GoliathBernadictus wrote:

I guess it's gonna take quite some teamwork to take that out.
However i think that 2 Hathcimotos (or how its spelled) would be able to take it down out in the open because they can keep moving fast while the gunner spams the repairthingys with plasmagun in between the TV missles but it's going to take some serious skill or teamwork to take it down

Anyway putting all RDX will not take it out, but you do take out those auto repair stuff and get a bonus for that.
For Hachimoto to be able to take it out you need to use those TV missiles it has and then you need to take out the autorepair stuff before doing it otherwise you are just wasting ammo.
