But even on single shot there is random deviation that can make you miss even though you sights are in the correct position. That being said the l85 is a good weapon for it's single shot kills on headshots, and it's sight. I love my L8 because I can take out an entire squad at close range, or I can pick them off quickly from a distance.
I love the AK because up close it shreds people to bits. At range it's a headshot machine.
I like the M16 but do consider it to be the poorer cousin of the G36e, it just feels too easy.
Outside of the L8 though, give me my AT and DAO anyday...
What I really wish is that the m16 could kill with a single head shot. Though that would most likely make it a little too overpowered.

I used to like it, and as someone said earlier, on single shot it is as good as an SVD. I used to be awesome with it, but not anymore. But in close range that gun is crap. I prefer either AK though in most situations. I think the recoil just bounces in my favor more so than the M16 if that makes sense.
M16A2 is massive smex, raeps at CQC and long range, although AK is better at very close ranges.
Not as much of the others, I usually go with AK, then probably the G3. But the M16 is definitely kickass and I'm just as good with it as I am with the others.
m16a2 and me and i will long range it and lol. seirously m16 is good at long range on semi.
i never really got the hang of the m16. im not a fan of burst firing, so i'll take my f2000 or l85 before the m16. i'll have to use it more to see what all the hype is about.

Hell yeah, even if the M16 (real Life) Sucks balls at pretty anything with their weak 5.56 mm bullets, i still like the look and the design (real Life)/.

It's such great fun watching an armor-less soldier fall in two clicks of my mouse! They prone and try to kill me, but when they hit the floor, they're dead.
Now with armored units, I have to click more and I sometimes forget they have armor.

whats the secret to this gun? headshots all the way? single fire? iron sights?
I detest the M16. In fact, I detest MOST default guns. Only the M11-87 is any good by my reckoning, because it's a one-shot kill at close range, and goes CHOOM and KER-CHAK.
In assault rifles, I value shot power over ROF. So, F2000 -> L85A1 -> G3 (low clip size, only a few clips) -> Default ARs -> M16.
Frankly, I don't use them that much to get that familliar, though. I prefer shotgun-equipped kits, or Support. Becuase I have a machinegun with unlimited ammo that's more accurate and powerful than anything other than a sniper rifle.

depends on the day i'm having, some days i'm just better with a certain guns than others
hell, the other day i went on a raping spree with the gun i usually use a pistol instead of if i pick up a kit that has it (L85) but yesterday it just worked for me, go figure eh?
