Archaeologists discovered in my town salt mines approximately 4K years old. But not just that, they also discovered salt mines from other periods, some 3K old, some 2K old etc. So that apparently makes it the oldest town in the region, but also the town with the longest history of living (meaning constantly was populated) in the region, maybe even Europe.

Bullshit, you mean to tell me someone could say that the ice in that glacier melted after all the rest? Cop on for gods sake.

I live in Ireland and this whole country is shaped by glaciers, there called drumlins but we're not thick enough to claim any of them were the last one.

Very first High School band in the U.S.A.
Auburn, Cord, Lexington and McFarlan Automobiles were manufactured here including some that competed in the Indy 500. Wikipedia link to small town Indiana.  About 5 to 7 years ago about 20 radiators that were used in the Daytona 500 were made here in my town.  This town used to be known as "Little Detroit" because of the ties we had to the automobile industry.  Sadly the last factory (Visteon) will be closing in September and laying off the final 800 or so employees.  Luckly I dont work there.
