please help me as i am in a bit of a quandry!! i have an account ion the name of "Jellybellyjogger" it often takes two or three attempts to login, as it tells me my password is incorrect, as i have saved password i try again and am normally successful.

also i find that my stats are not recording, have i done something wrong? my profile tells me that i am over 72000 in line to be updated and i am not on the database!!!

please help and would you offer any advioce on a newbie to BF2 on the way forward and what to do, it appears that this is a most exciting game to play and the people who play appear to be a good laugh!!

the password thing i dont know but the stats its because its the weekend so you'll be places high in the que but right now the stats mite be down not sure though because teh site i think crashed today not sure it just mite have been me.
you will be able to check your stats on monday probs. and if you are under 100 global points then you cant see your stats.

thanks weasel, much appreciated, not sure if i am below 100 or not, just know i played lastnight and earned basic armour and got some good kills.

still learning my way around, have put the search as ranked servers and go online, any good tips that you can offer?

The BF2s stats feed is currently down, so that explains why your stats are not working on this site.  Be patient, and it will get corrected soon.

As for the password situation, are you talking about your login to BF2 (the game) or your login to BF2s (this website)?

thanks for your reply,  i was talking about the login to BF2, iset up my account a few months ago when i got the game, but due to my computer going AWOL i was not able to login until recently and play BF2.

have you any good hints for a newbie?

First, you might create a new name/password combination to ensure that you can get in that way. 

Second, concerning your existing account, see if this thread is of any help, specifically the third post:  http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=37689

Third, make sure you are not pressing the "Play battlefield 2 now!" which always seems to cause problems.

This is interesting.  I am having problems too.   God bless EA.  I have two online accounts.

I cannot login to My main account.   The password is invalid.  even though i have the remember password box checked for about a year now.   (EDIT)  I have the password written down perfectly. I made sure of that.  it no longer works and the password is completely unguessable. trust me.

But, my BillRobinson account logs on with no problems.

So, you are not alone my friend, and if this isnt resolved soon.  I will drive to EA and pull a postal mailamn situation.  Steam just did this to me and left me with a copy of HL2 that is worth nothing.   

I seriously seriously seriously am considering not playing online games anymore.   This bullshit is getting old.


I NEVER use the PLAY NOW! icon. I deleted it off the desktop.

rooster, in teh future, try using an easier password.

and for steam: go to their website and just say it got hijacked. they'll get it back to you in a few days.

Mines doing exactly the same thing, user name and password are shared by BF2 and 2142, so I know the password is correct, also it's saved from when I used to play BF2, now says password incorrect, reset password, tried new password - password incorrect, repeat - password incorrect.

Contacted EA, told them Id reset the password already, they told me to reset my password, told them id already done it but did it again to keep them happy, still not working, another guy tells me exactly the same thing the other guy did, literally a copy paste of what the first guy said, didnt even take the fucking time to read. sent another polite but obviously pissed off reply, yet another guy responds with you guessed it, the same shit the first 2 did, whats the point of customer support if they dont actually have the intelligence to do anything more than copy paste prewritten replies?

Anyway I digress, you're not alone.

EDIT: made a new account, works fine, old one still password incorrect.

I had the same problem too, i just deleted the C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles folder, and restarted bf2, i then needed to reenter my login details and resetup my video settings, but that fixed the log in hang, also seemed to fix CTD's as well - The other thing it could be too, is if your firewall is blocking BF2, maybe check that as well

EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   ANYONE EXPERIENCEING THIS.  GO TO forgot password, and request for a password reset E-mail.  The E-mail is slow as shit and will take a while.  Type in a new password and wait it out.   Thanks EA!

Thanks but,  the difficultyof my password is irrelevent.   I am anal as  shit when it comes to my passwords.  I write them down perfectly and 100% legibly.   I wiped my computer once and retyped in my password that i wrote down and it worked fine.  The Password is correct.   Every password to everything online (banking, gaming etc.) I need I write in a little notebook the size of a wallet I lock in a fireproof box.  Its EA's fuck up fore sure.


As for Steam. I am way ahead of you.   Done done and done.  They gave me all this BS about filling out return e-mails which I did and got no response.  They already have my money. who cares besides me if they fix the problem? Steam is a joke that I gave up on long ago.


I have played BF2 Since the Fall of '05, and never has this been a problem.  -FUCK YOU EA-
