What I think is truly interesting is that he's skilled in both left AND right brain strengths. Most savants have extraordinary talents in math or art/music. Not only does he stand out for having no obvious mental disabilities, as mentioned in the article, but his gifts extend far beyond the "average" savant.

they are called idiot savants. Most if not all have some sort of autism or Aspergers. This particular person has a mild form of Autism if I recall correctly. He is an anomaly in the Savant group because he has the ability to describe his thought process and his highly evolved social skills.
