Okay, I am really confused on what do to about my computer.

My current specs are:

Intel Pentium 4- 3.0 ghz

Graphics card is a 5200fx

Ram is 512mb 400mhz(3200)

I could just upgrade it with some new ram which cost about
100£ for 1gb and 150-200£ for a 7 series agp 8 card.

But I could just buy a completely new computer.

specs.

Motherboard is asus striker extreme.

Ram is 2gb of 800 mhz'

Graphics card is a 368 mb 8800gts

Core2duo e6600.

I can now get this for a bit over 1.000£

Which solution will be the best iyo.

Well I got about 2.500£

But I also need to get a laptop for school.

But it is limited how much that would cost.

Depends on what your doing, if its jsut Bf2, go for the upgrade, new computer isnt worth just to play games, or look into gaming laptops, kill two birds with one stone

New pc, but you dont need the 6600, go for the 6400 or even 6300, you can get them for about £120 now.

You've still got plenty to go towards a very good laptop too.

I have made my mind up. I am going to upgrade my pc.

I am gonna buy.

1 gb ram.

New psu.

X1950 pro.
