Okay guys...i have always been a big 2142 hater...but since about 3-4 days i am wondering if i should buy it or not...

I fear that it will just be as sucky as bf2 have been in the beginning...talking about patch and those...because i have played the beta and the demo.

So, give me some of your feedback about the game and such so i can make myself an opinion about it.

Buy it, play it then make up your own mind.

It takes a while to get into it if you have been playing BF2 for a long time, but once you get the hang/feel for 2142, then you will either love it or hate it. I know myself that at the start I did not think 2142 was as good as BF2, but now I love it. On the other hand, some of the people I know still don't really like it and prefer BF2.

There are not that many bugs in 2142, and the bugs that are there do not really make much difference to the game.

But I would recommend the game to anyone.

Well for loving it im pretty sure i could...its the fucking patch and all...fear that they will screw up everything just like 1.3 did for bf2 in those ol time lol.

So far the patches in 2142 have been for the good of the game and have not made things worse. With BF2, ever patch would mess up something enjoyable with the game, or they would nurf the good weapons cause people would complain about them.

but so far, they have not nurfed any weapons and have actually made things better.

Agreed Dude, seems either you hate it, or love it. i love both games, 2142 slight more (sci-fi fanboy:P)and IMO its jsut works nicer then BF2. In the end its up to your opinion, the game isnt BF2 with a coat of paint, it does take a little bit of time toget into, but the constant sense of progression(via many unlocks and awards) keeps you coming back

Runs more smoothly than BF2, more teamwork than BF2, new weapons, new maps, new vehicles, patches haven't nerfed anything, squad leader gets credit for doing his job, squad members get credit for doing their job . . . and so much more. I've played 1942, BF2 and its expansions, and 2142 has the best teamwork of all of them combined. You're rewarded more for teamwork than killing . . . though it's still so much fun to lob a tank shell at an Engineer that's shooting at me and watch his body fly 100 feet. Buy the game, you won't regret it.

well it will take some time till you will find your way in bf2142. you will get some troubles getting points anyway^^ but after a while (1 or 2 hours) you will get a feeling for the game. and it will come faster than in bf2. and as it is said above: either you will love or you will hate it.

its okay for a little while...... but it only takes like 200 hours to make the highest rank and titan mode blows

and if u like aircraft in bf2 your going to hate the gunship in 2142... its slow and clumsy

I'm my opinion i hated bf2 at the start, as i had to get un-locks, and get use to the maps, pretty much the same as 2142, i think both games are great now, it all depends if you play as a team in a clan, and use ts or vent.. if i was a stand alone player i don't think that i would be playing neither game

2142 is fun for a week or so cause it has some new stuff, but the novelty wears off very fast and you'll find yourself crawling back to BF2

I play 2142 almost exclusivly. in my mind, it's the sickest game I've played. WAY more fun unlocks (even more with northern strike out), based on teamwork, not nearly as many people vehicle whore, no more wall glitches or anything of the such, and as long as you have a decent computer and your on a server without a shitty computer running the server, you wont get much lag. You get bonuses for being in squads (which is one of my favorite features).

You shan't regret buying this game!!
IMO 2142 is somewhat better than BF2 mainly because DICE have combined the kits of BF2 to create new 2142 ones:

- Recon (Spec Ops & Sniper)
- Assault (Assault & Medic)
- Engineer (Anti-tank & Engineer) This kit is the best!!!
- Support (Support only) Whored so much, but not as much as expected seeing as they are beatable.

But I guess you already knew this ;D

Edit - Oh, plus the Booster Pack is out this Thursday, so thats another excuse to buy this game!! Two new vehicles, three new maps, ten more unlocks and awards ...

Okay, i got karkand as most played map because i had my noob day lol...even if i wasent this worst...but if you look a little closer i got time in pretty all other bf2 maps...that time was got after my noob day..stupid fuc*ing karkand

I enjoy 2142 more than BF2 I'd have to say. Though I still play BF2. Don't see why it has to be one or the other. Both awesome games. Good thing about 2142 is your not getting fragged every 10 seconds my some kid in a jet. And there's fewer cheaters (at least for now).
