I was driving down a residential street when a saw a ~10 year old girl riding her bike on the side of the street (mind you that there WAS A SIDEWALK but that's a diffrent rant) and she was talking on her cellphone. She kept on swerving on her bike, steering with one hand and right before I passed her she fell from her bike and into the middle of the road. I swerved and nearly ran her over, if I wasn't paying attention she would not have been alive right now...

I just think that it's just stupid for parents to give cellphones to <15 year old kids. They have no use for it.

maybe it helps parents keep track of thier kids.

actually, when you hit 13 (jr. high) they start becoming a great asset. not for friends, i rarely use mine for that. but back in jr. high, i'd be waiting out in front of my school until dark because my parents didn't know my cross country meet or track meet was over and i didn't have a way to call them.

yeah i fucking hate that. people will text message me saying something and fuck im not going to sit there and type into a phone. i have never sent a text message before and i dont plan on it. a phone is for talking. i try telling people this but they still insist on sending me text messages. wtf...

That pisses me off so badly too! Especially when the people are <10 feet from each other...

Yes, so many people do that nowdays.
Few days ago, I saw 2 girls text messaging each other at a distance of 1/2 meters. They were textmessaging while crossing the street and nearly got ran over by a car. People do it at school, too. Use your damn legs and walk over to the person, not waste your batteries!

1. I hate talking on the phone.  Why would I want to carry one around?
You don't carry one round, so wheres the problem?

2. People want to be connected?  Fuck that.
Say "no, sorry, I can't come into work".  Simple.

3.  They always ring at the worst times.
I have mine on vibrate all the time, I know its ringing or that someones texting me, but nobody around me does.

4. People are idiots.
Don't answer while driving.  If you want to talk, pull over when you can and call them back.

5. They are mind control devices.
You don't "pay per play" on a cellphone.

6. They make me want to punch people.
You have an anger problem.

7. Nothing says you're an important person quite like a blue tooth.
I'll give you this one, bluetooth headsets do make people look like utter tools.  I did get one accessory for my phone; a USB cable so I could transfer photos to my PC with minimal fucking round.  I might get a memory card, but until I start wanting to use the MP3 player, 64MB is plenty.

I use mine for texting predominantly.  I also use the camera (quite good quality for a phone), and the alarm clock.

13 yr olds girls who think they are queen of the world piss me off so much, i've found cures for chavism, emoism, and egotistical boys, but it seems to be impossible to deflate a 13 yr old gals ego, i have even tried kebabing from point blank with no success.

I find it quite smooth to use your cell phone as an mp3 player as well, messages are great when you need to say something to a person but don´t want to talk to them. Could´nt care less about the camera they are still pretty worthless even the 3.2 megapixels.

not to mention all the times you´re away from home ( work, driving, vacation, bar etc etc ) sometimes you really need to reach someone or need to be reached.

This is the cougar I miss.

However they do have their uses, every phone should have a 3 minute call limit built in, would atleast cut the crap like how their hair looks or what they did yesterday.

I have a cell phone, got it cheap 2nd hand, and I go through maybe 20 euro's worth of calls per year. It does annoy me but it's saved my ass from a lot of trouble as well
