wow u guys took this psot to the extreme, u did research, i do that in school, in my AP class. Seriously, just run it into somin it goes boom, a tard could figure that out. Even a tard wouldnt chew on a blast cap, though. Just accept that EA can make an ATVofDoom and screw the Abrams up. Just try it and accept the facts that EA is as stupid as my mom.

i 100% gurantee u wasn't about the jeep, but the ATV im pretty damn close. REalizing it blows up on impact for kills never gets old

thanks, I was waiting for someone who recently had first hand experience handling the stuff to chime in. What you said kind of confirms what I was finding in my research. We weren't really arguing about it but rather having a discussion, and I wasn't out to "prove anyone wrong" but was just curious myself.

I still think it is a lame tactic, as I said the first time, thats not how C4 works AT ALL. Some things I can understand, as you said if the M1A1 was "realistic" it would completely unbalance the game, but I fail to see how allowing people to drive vehicles with C4 into you balances the game. There are many more "skill" techniques one can use to eliminate armor, that don't involve suicide. While I'm sure the jihaders are quite proud of themselvs and consider this to be a skill, it really isn't. all you are doing is driving into a tank, not exactly a small target, and I don't consider any tactic that ends with you being dead to be a skillfull maneuver.

I'm sure they'll all scream back at me, but I don't care.

I was 0351 in the Marines, anti-tank and small demolitons, so I was not talking out of my ass.  You are right that it may only go off one out of twenty times.  I just think it is possible, therefore, when people say that it can't happen at all, I disagree with that.

The cool thing about C4 is that it's highly stable. Meaning, it will not explode due to heat or pressure. An electric charge must be administered.

We were not comparind BF2 to real life, we were just discussing the probability of something in BF2 occuring in real life.  This is a discussion forum, so we were discussing.  Having been a Marine for 10 years, I don't need you to tell me it is just a game and  not real life.  I see nothing wrong with talking about weapons and tactics in BF2 and comparing them to real life.  If you don't think that is ok, which apparently you don't, then just remember the military uses video games all the time.  The Marines approved Doom for use, the Air Force uses video games in thier simulators, the Army and the Marines have , or had, FATS simulators.  The Coast Guard has video game simulation to train  Ice Breakers.  The Navy has vidoe games to simulate submarine warfare.  Do think any military person who has ever been trained in a simulator does not know the difference between that and real life?  The main difference is you can die in real life.  All I am saying is that when someone says "XYZ is so unrealistic,"  I think discussing its actual probability in a discussion forum is just fine.  That's how I see it.

Time to school some more I suppose.  Now...not sure if English is your first language or not... so I'll give you some perspective as to what I was referring to in my first post.  I was merely stating that this idea (which the original poster has supposidly, in his own mind, invented), has been done since the begining (ie June in BF2).  I shall also point out that by looking at most other posts in this thread, this seems to be the consensus.  Not once did I specifically state that "ATV" jihading has been done since June...merely the idea of running a vehicle into another with C4 straped to it and blowing it up, etc etc etc, has been done since June.  This idea being the subject of the thread (and the ATV being a vehicle of getting the subject getting accomplished) has, in fact, been done since the begining of BF1942 as a few posters have pointed out.

My point in all this was that the author had indeed not invented anything but a silly thread.  You decided, in your unfortunate ignorance, that it was necessary to post the following: "How could it have been done since June? BF2:SF wasn't out in June, therefore ATV's weren't out in June."  Everyone and their grandmothers would know that ATV's weren't in BF2 and "therfore" weren't out in June.  I'm still trying to comprehend why you even posted in the first place.  I thank you for your effort in trying to correct me; it's unfortunate that you didn't understand that I never needed the correction.  Now, I ask you...who's the "stupid" one as you so eloquently put it?  PS...not once did I call you a direct name as you have.  Inferred a few things, yes I did.

Again, my original post "this has been done since June" is fact!  The author invented nothing.  This was all explained in the second post of mine in this thread.  I would recommend to reread it.
