Can anyone recommend me a very good, realistic fighter jet simulator?

Don't say:

Battlefield 2
Flight Simulator (any version, unless there is a military mod for 10)

when you go into fly-by view in supersonic, you dont hear the plane until its passed the camera, it has really nice heat/afterburner effects. my favorite part is the dynamic damage when you get hit by a missle your wings tear apart in random ways, looking very realistic. give it a try. its awesome.

Toss in my vote for Lock On, then. I liked Novalogic's F-22 Lightning II back in the day as well (heck, even Armored Fist had exploding buildings).

the best jet sim out there is "falcon 4.0: allied force". its a pretty old game with reworked graphics. its very realistic which means it takes a while to learn. it offers a dynamic real time battlefield.

somewhere between them u can also see the battlefield overview map. its a very complex game

lomac is the best, but the hardest. sooo many buttons but its rewarding when you slam a sidewinder into the tail end of a MiG-29. or launching an AGM-65 Maverick Laser missile into a tank.

Is that for real? Such good graphics and realism, for such low requirements?

I also searched for it on Ebay and it costs $6 Australian. (New in box)

thats the recommended but i use a 7900GT, 2 gigs of corsair ram and duel core 4200s and i have major FPS problems when running everyhing on high, including cockpit mirrors, which is the problem.

I have both really really realistic too realistic too hard big learning curve, tutorials are ok but not good enough for a noob like me. Never played em since the day I brought em. I guess if you have patience then yes but I don't.

My mates have told me lock on is good to..)
But isnt msfsX vista optimized,as it runs like turd on my rig and it,s not due to a shite pc either,as i run a fx55@3ghz,2 gig OCZ ddr 400@410,x1900xtx.

In some cases, having a very fast PC can make the game lag.
For those who have 7600 video cards (and the same level competitor ATI) and up, will have more chances of getting problems than mid range video cards.
I think its the drivers'n'shit.
I hopes that this game will run fine on X800gto with HIS chip.
