just wondering who uses one and what joystick you use...

I seem to have pretty good luck just using the mouse and keyboard, but I have a hunch that a joystick would probably improve my performance even more. As it is, I think I have about a 10/1 KD ratio against other attack helicopters. My overall helicopter KD is only around 2.4, but the majority of my deaths in the heli are the result of anti-air, humvees & vodniks, or lag. I can only play on my work computer, and if any of my coworkers decides to use the internet or set off a render after hours then it screws with my connection. I sometimes will get pings of 800-1000 ms. Trying to fly when you get 1 frame per 2 seconds is not pleasant.

i also use the Logitech X3dpro and i must say its really fun when u get it. i still suck at aiming with the missles so i prefer to have a good gunner.
LG-MindB i would suggest not to switch anymore. ive been using a joypad the first weeks and then bought my new joystick. i mainly bought it for flying jets but i had to relearn the choppers completely so think about it

I am total crap at piloting (not that I've applied much), yet I use a Logitech Attack 3. Simple and functional, that is. I mainyl use it to save my arse when some asshole pilot (YES, I HATE YOU, YOU FUCKING MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!) resolves to bail out without warning the crew...

I have a Saitek ST90 but I use a razer mouse & keyboard for choppers, since you get a greater degree of accuracy with it which can be very beneficial for those co-pilots skillful enough to TV guide

lol jools, don't you just love when that happens

I use my Logitech wingman interceptor for flying (heli, plane) tasks.. Last of the good logitech joysticks, before they went all silvery and cheap feeling.. Why no good joysticks anymore! Boo. Gameport though

I've tried mouse and keyboard but the years and years of playing flight sims are working against me I guess because I can't get into it..

I fly chopper with mouse and keyboard.  I cannot maneuver as quickly as with the joystick but I'm more precise with lining up targets with the mouse.

I have noticed it is much easier to do rolls and loops with the joystick though.  Also, the throttle is more responsive than with the keyboard.

I'd like to have a setup like the one above!!
