Hi guys, not really tech. I'm crap at all this so help please.

When you log in and out of XP, you get that really nice blue screen. I always used to get it, now I get this instead:

I'm just wondering why, and can I change it back to the "cool" looking one?

Wow, honestly i dont know, i want to help but, what were you doing before it happened? changing any settings?

It just happened for no reason :S. All I can think of is that I changed my ISP, but that shouldn't affect this.
I know its a minor thing, but I'd like to change it.

try right clicking on your desktop and going to 'properties' and then in the 'themes' tab (you should be on it already) try changing your theme to Windows XP. Even if its already set there. If that doesnt work maybe try changing it to Classic and then to XP again.

Under User Accounts in Control Panel, go

> Change the way users log on or off

Under there is Welcome Screen.

If its greyed out, perhaps someone has installed a Network client that requires Classic Logon like Novell Netware.

Ah cheers, it looks like a netgear adapter i installed is the problem. I'll just have to live with it.
