ok, after being annoyed by vista lagging like crazy i emailed microsoft and they said remove all external hardware to see if it gets fixed. I removed everything and by miracle it was BLAZINGGGG FASTTTTTTT. I connected hardware and slow again, then i checked by ethernet cable that was coming from router and guess what? everytime the ethernet cable was plugged in to my pc it would lag, and now i was wondering how can i make my internet work again? my router is netgear wpn824 v2. thx for all the help i have gotten so far.
Wow! Microsoft tech support actually telling you something usefull! That's a new one.

If you've got another network adapter give that a try, if not, you're probably going to have to wait for better drivers.

i will try to just put the wire straight from the modem not the router. if that works all of you get a +1 cuz i will be happy.
If you've got a USB modem you could use, that'll probably do the job because the USB adapter is more likely to have decent drivers. It sounds like it's your ethernet adapter that is the problem.fatmarik wrote:

It's the equivalent of Microsoft saying "VISTA LAGGING? THATS A LOAD OF MALARKARKAKRKI" to me. My computer is shit, therefore it lags.
ok i tried it and the lag only happens if the ethernet wire is plugged inside the port, otherwise it is ok, what should i do?
you can try a PCI network card...they are ~20$ on newegg, and if it doesnt fix it, just return it.
yeah i am gonna go buy a new one
