This looks amazing. I've been a fan of Starcraft(still play from time to time), AoE, Rome, C&C and many others but this game just seems intense. You can destroy anything you want. Blast buildings, burn down forests, collapse dams, crush cars with tanks. The environment is your enemy as much as your friend. Control your team from up above, or get down to the ground and observe the battle from there. You get to control every piece of military equipment it has; from bombers to infantrymen, its yours to use.

Now, question 1: Do you believe that those trailers are CG? No? Think again.
question 2: What do you think of this?

Answer to #1: Yes, those are definitely CG, but dayum!
Answer to #2: This game looks shit hot. Of course, we know that even the Russians wouldn't shoot down news helicopters. Of course, though, that could add a whole new bit to strategy... I also like the product placement, what with the Burger King at the end of the second trailer. Maybe, just maybe this game'll run on my PC.

Oh, and flag-bearers are the sex!

I've heard rumors that the trailers are actual ingame footage. That will be proven later I suppose.

As for the game, it looks amazing. The depth of detail, and the story in general seems to be awesome

Actually, THOSE trailers aren't actual game footage. However, the trailers on the game's site are.

Ok, would you disagree that in this case it adds to the realism? It's not like there's a big billboard saying you should eat there. It's just in part of the battleground, as it would be if this really happened. It's much better than if they made up some fast food restaurant.

About that Burger king sign. Dont like it? Target the supports with your armor, blow them out and crush the infantry under it. No more sign, no more enemies. Its this kind of stuff that makes me want to play the game all the more.
Thanks for putting the link up cowami. Kinda forgot that.
As for why they shot down the TV chopper, it was to instill more fear. They let them see the unloading to show the world the might of Russia(hence the "The vultures have been fed." line) and then they shot it down to let the Americans know that no one is safe.
The fear factor involved in shooting down the news chopper is also very important, because you've just seen massive numbers of enemies disembark and now you have no idea what they're doing.
The premises, along with the realism they include in the game, is, to me at least, the best selling point of this RTS.
