Actually that's not at all true. I'll see if I can find some info on the real reason, but it's one of those things that requires a bit of digging - the various urban myths (such as the 'it was the cotton farmers' theory) are far too prevalent...

EDIT: Having said that (about it taking some digging - it took very little) - see: http://www.cannabis.net/marijuana-timeline.html - it glosses over the details but the key events all happen between the late 1800s and early 1900s - particularly around the 1920s...

Only lights that could be seen on were one or two normal lights, all the other windows were covered up but not noticeably, couldn't hear any humming and there were no hook ups to the power lines.
It in the local paper today (the Sentinel) with a picture of the fronts room full of plants, they look pretty mature too, and according to the article every room in the fucking house had been kitted out!! Tried to find it on the papers website but it ain't on there

On top of this, the active chemical that give you the 'high' (THC) is highly dangerous and can cause mental health problems (and does). With prolonged usage, you will have short-term memory loss (and even long-term memory problems). Please, don't do yourself any more damage than you already have.
