Would you Pad to get an award?

Say you got an award...(for exampe expert engineer) and it showed up on screen (drumroll etc) and you took a screenshot of it.

then...after waiting for weeks, that particular award never showed up.

Would you pad to get it again, after all, you did earn the award, and your only claiming what is yours?

Thoughts?

Yes. I almost went expert pistol. Got the kills, no drum roll. finally, I got it though. Was on the verge of padding.

Expert repair is tempting, but it would feel lame. Only IF I felt genuinely felt screwed somehow.

I was building up time for the AA badge (just updated the patch) , as commander, and got expert- Accident. But, once I realized what had happened, I Admit, I did Hop right into ground defense and cheaped that award.

It happened to me with expert explosives, screenshot and all...it was like one in a million, perfect combination of circumstances.

I got 39 C4 kills IAR.. and no expert badge, and that was about a year ago (jan 22 2006, the same round I got veteran), and I still haven't received it yet.. So the answer to your question in no.

No... I used to when i was a noob but that was only for basic heli, I was in songhua for 15 minutes doing absolutely nothing just sitting in az-10 on the cliffs right infront of the red line until i got it. I know it's wrong but i never knew about roe then. My basic aviator was a bit harder had to jump in the f-15 in cleansweep, And engage in aircombat with the mig i only hit the guy once with a ll my missles. (Hard as hell to gun but it was fun surprisingly the guy was'nt mad at me for being a noob)

Engineer, would I pad for that? Yes. In fact I already have. i would have gladly padded for my expert knife, instead of getting it like a bitch with 1.3.

Theres really no need to pad. Just have to keep trying and wait for the right set of circumstances to present themselves. However, its knowing which maps and under what conditions its most likely to get those circumstances is whats useful.

No. No need to pad.

If you are able to get it the first time, you can get it again.

I had to earn the Expert Anti-Tank Badge several times, because it never showed the first time.

Pretty annoying, but you can do it again.

I remember about a year ago, getting a badge i wanted and having the server not shut down were 2 senarios that didnt like me at all ..
I couldnt count the amount of times on ground and pound for a vet badge i did twice / 3 times ..
If i had vet or expert explosives fair and square then - YES at this point .. id consider it mine and go get it. i have worked hard at getting it, and still dont have it, when i get it once.. thats all i care about..

My question is - Do people consider using jets, apaches or commanding a form of padding ( for non commanding - heli - jet badges ) ??
I personally didnt get any badges that werent for the class without pursuing that class.. i.e gong commander for expert anti tank badge. AND I HATED IT when people i know got them "quickly" by commanding and cant kill 10- 15 people with a gun barrel

In those circumstances, I might. It would depend on which award it was.

For something really hard, where it's likely to take many many games to get it again (Expert Repair is a great example, some people try for weeks) I'd probably try to get it an easier way, if possible. For something that's just challenging like one of the expert combat badges I'd probably go for them legit... unless it was a class I totally hate and suck at, in which case once could be enough.

I never try for awards, they just pop up from time to time and i`m like wtf?

Edit: Oh, except for the knife and pistol i just got that. But thats because my stats got reset for some reason and i need them to get the star in my rank and you dont need to pad for that either
