If it`s no shortcut but a exe -file then just make sure that the mod is installed in the folder where it should be. Follow the instructions that came with the mod

I figured it out, you have to create a new one from the bf2 folder and then edit it once it is on the desktop and rename it
there was no .exe file, so i had to create a new file and change the destination and yes, i checked it out with the original vanilla and the vanilla still works

when you install this:

1. unzip the file using winzip
2. copy this into C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods
3. go back to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2
4. right click on the first shortcut to start the game
5. go to the desktop
6. right click on the newly created shortcut
7. click on properties
8. in the "Target" box copy this at the end: +modPath mods/bb +fullscreen 1 (including the space)
9. run the game
10. go to options
11. click controls
12. click reset to defualts (if you don't, you wont be able to play)
13. enjoy
