i guess im going to have to get a new processor to get 10K....

ive got my e6400 OC'd to 2.72 and my gfx card OC'd to 653/9491898 lol

idk its pissing me off though. i WANT 10K

would RAM speed or something minor help me get 10K?

HAHhhA, YEP, or just OC ur CPU and GPU 1MHz more seriously that CPU works well at over 3GHz speed so why not OC it more?

I'd be OCing more frankly, 2.7 is pretty low for a C2D. it's not like it's overheating.

Raise your voltage. 33c has some room. You should be able to bump your fsb after that a bit and keep the stability. Watch your temps closely though.

Is there really that big a difference between the e6600 and the e6400? i ask as i have an e6600 running at 3.5 on stock voltages with no instability at all.

Run it again, OC is more of an art than a science (or so I am told!). Two seperate Oc's on identical hardware wont always get the same results.

Are you sure they are at stock voltages? Some boards/tools adjust the voltages on their own accordingly.

Would one of them be the Asus P5B deluxe? I basically just bumped the FSB til it started to wobble then put it down 300Mhz (it was still pretty stable at 3.7 only one crash in 2 n a bit hours of testing) lol so yeah it may well have been doing it on it's own. Not my PC so i can't go look, built for a mate and he wanted it fast.

edit: Haven't played the OCing game in a while, but tighter RAM timings + slightly upped voltage + higher FSB should = higher OC should = higher 3DMark score.

You should be happy with that score already I have never reached 2000 on 3dmark06.
