Right, here's my fuckin rant. This is actually the first time I've ever been so angry at something.

Right. I'm 16, wanna join SAS when I'm older. So, having gone to the gym a couple of times before, I decided to start up a regime to build up my fitness so when my 18th comes, I'm a machine. Doesn't sound like a bad plan?

So, I get home, and do my homework. That comes first in my opinion, so I do it. This takes me until half 5. So then I decide to go to the gym, burn off a few hundred calories. I thought the normal price for me (full-time education) would be £2.50, as it was the last time I went. So I go up to the desk and ask to go into the gym. Guess what she fucking says:

"£6.60 please"

I just froze. I got out my ID to show I was in education, but she said that tthe card was only usable before 5. BEFORE FUCKING 5? WHY? Geez, is it because the fucking ofice workers don't want little kids to come and put them off?

Fucking hell, I'm 16, it's not like I've got a gang of mates with me wantin to screw up the place. I have to pay "£6.60" every time I go for my future career? Yes, I can do running, but not weights. Fucking hell, is there a plausible explanation for this shit? Think they wanna keep the chavs out, but even then, it's not like i wanna cause trouble. Fuckin gay.

Thts my rant over, but even so I had to walk away humiliated with only £3 in my pocket. Their membership rates are shit as well, and this is a well known organisation in Edinburgh.

Screw the gym then. Do some running with a pack on your back with some weight in it. Push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups is all you need along with the running.

Dude, wait until you're paying income/council/inheritance and housing taxes; then you really will want to explode! You can do CCF (Combined Cadet Force) related training courses through you're school or local council and it'd be free, not quite a gym, which your school should have btw (push them on that), but cheaper then £6.60 a day! Sounds like it might be worth getting gym membership, it would be around 100 quid a year, but if you use it its worth it. My uni gym charges 140 a year and i was like fuck it, i already have to pay 40 quid for the sports hall discount, still paying 1 quid entrance everytime i go.

And gyms are that cheap over there, You can't get a member ship for under 80 dollars over here and can't pay on a day by day basis. Which is bull shit.
