i'm always curious about the best players in games that i play, and Bf2 is no exception.. Looking through the stats is interesting.. personally the time some of these guys have invested is incredible, bordering on amazement on my part.. each to his own however..

Do you realize that out of the top ten players listed here they have 12,775 hours on the Karkland map ? with the highest person having 3147 hours alone.. That's 532 full 24 hour days...

Although they have compiled some awesome stats, to me the best players are the ones that have a more even distribution of their playing time across many maps.. not that these folks are slouches by any means..

It seems to me that Karkland has become somewhat of a Stat padding / whoring map ? maybe this is old news ?

I've played a fair amount of online FPS games since 1998.. maybe i have 3000 hours since then.. maybe..

Alot of people make the mistake of saying Karkland it's really no big deal.

Fair warning mouse your going to hear alot of people saying how they don't care/top 10 have no lives/they're not the best. Just be ready.

So what if they play Karkand. its a fun map, hopefully they have fun too. If not, hell, i dont care much either way. Of course points come easier on Karkand, but if their goal is to be in the top 10, then karkand is the place to be.

There's no way you can rate a Top-Ten player simply based on any kind of stat numbers, especially time playing a certain map. You have to judge top-ten merit on how said player adapts to what is going on ingame. One player CAN change the outcome of a game. It's the players that are able to do this time and time again that should be voted for. But hell, I can't even name one person that I've truly been impressed with to add to any kind of a list.

Playing the same exact thing for 3000 hours will never be fun, sorry. No matter how fun or exciting something is, it will get old eventually. Take playing baseball or football for example. It is fun in moderation for a little while, but say you played the game 2 weeks straight for 18 hours a day. Chances are that you would probably get bored of doing the same thing over and over again. These guys dont play for fun, they play for super large e-penises.

i dont agree if they didn't like they would switch games and try to perfect another game, i have played karkland probably for about 150 hrs and it still is my favorite map, and i have played lax for 9hr a day for about 4 weeks straight and 3hrs a day for about 4 months after that

I just realized 1 man army is my worst enemy. What does that mean. Nothing. Other threads have hashed this out before. It is a subjective term (good, best, or whatever you want to call them). Everyone will have their own opinion of who is the best. I think the best player is the one that helps me win the round. Some swear by points. To each their own, unless you disagree with me.
