Getting that ribbon on Karkand is easy. I didn't have that ribbon for almost 2 years, and then one day i decided to try and use the armour on Karkand, had a good run with a few other engineers, and got the ribbon no problem.

- Oh the AGONY!!! (Armored Service Ribbon)
I got mine by taking an APC into a P&K server without an admin in the days before I/O maps.

i got it when i wasnt trying
I believe I got mine in the BF2s US ranked server. Canin, CoconutBlitz and I (the three Cs we were) were rolling in APCs all over Mashtuur, then I was surprised to see my new medal. It looked fugly.

about the ribbon. Urban half full map ftw. peace of cake, no stupid things from the sky, all you should watch out for is AT (spec ops is canon meat.)
You should play
on a map with
like hardly any
players on, or a really
big map like Zatar or Tampa
where its like really
hard to be killed.

Easiest map to get it on hands down is Jalalabad! I always seemed to be doing f-ing awsome got a nice cycle going when i die respawn and grab the tank but it never fails that some noob steals my tank and screws me. Jalabad has enough tanks to go around even if you have to steal from the other side. Get a dedicated engineer and you wont even have to worry about losing your tank. Ribbon. . . done deal! make sure you get a 32 player full server with even sides.
two words:Highway Tampa.
Play Karkand doesnt matter how much players... Be ofcourse a engineer..
and shoot them all to hell
When u got one hit form eryx or whatever drive back and repair yourself.
Thats the way i got it.

I got mine on Wake as China. Luckily, our chopper pilots kept the US pilots at bay and the jets were busy fighting each other.
Dont play 64 slot Karkand servers...
...play Highway Tampa or Sharqi Peninsula (24-16 slots and big mapsize so a round can take 1 hour)

8 Engineers
6 M1's
1 LAV
and a DPV for the unlucky player.
As a bonus, most rounds you wont die either, as all the AT guys run out of rockets and the jihad jeeps provide decent gunnery practice.
It's pilots who get smacked around by the floor you have to worry about.
Thats a bomber pilots dream haha.Chullster wrote:

You're joking right? There are no bombers on Tampa, just a mig and an F-18, and with that many engineers in repairing range, as I said before, most rounds you don't die, my record being 5 rounds no deaths, with 11-28 kills a round. Teamwork helps you ownaimless wrote:

Edit: My mistake, the pilot would get 1 kill on the DPV if they hit it, but there's 8 targets to choose from......

i got it on Op Harvest
"Jihad Skycow" not heard that one before
Planes and choppers do crash into such a large group all the time, whether by accident, intent or wreakage falling down, but it's harder than you think to ram more than one tank in a jet, even harder in a chopper. With BF2 physics, the jet comes to a complete standstill virtually when it hits the first object, getting only the one, maybe two if you're lucky, kills. And 2:1 in a jet is no good.
Try ramming a group of tanks and see how you do, I'd love to see some battlerecorder videos of that.

Get on a server that has like 20 people in it but has the capacity to hold 64 so the tickets go slower and time increases. Then be the biggest armour whore possible.
