Hey, does anyone know where I could buy potassium nitrate (KNO3) around akron/cleveland, ohio?
Planning on making a smoke bomb? I heard if you pee in a cup and put it out in the sun yellow powder is left and that is potassium nitrate. Not sure though =P

In airsoft, eh? My friend took a plastic ziplock-type bag, overpacked it with flour and baking soda I think...put a small tear on the edge and flung in the air somehow. If you do it properly it creates a smoke-grenade effect. Pretty cool shit.

If you are looking to make big clouds of smoke........forget about going to the trouble of finding pure lab grade chemicals. Go to your local Michael's craft store, buy up all the model rocket engines you can, and then grind out the propellant w/ a screwdriver. When that propellant is turned to dust, it makes one hell of a cloud of smoke.
