Just had my birthday and with some that I had saved from Christmas, I was thinking of upgrading my computer. I only have about £300 to spend and am still on AGP and DDR (with a AMD 2.5 Barton) so here is what I was thinking of getting:

Due to the mobo I will be able to keep using my current 1gb of dual channel ram and my 7600gs, and upgrade them later when I can afford to. So what do you guys think?

you will love the c2d.  Will be a decent system for bf2 or 2142. Good luck.

BTW, you should really try to swing another gig of ram..... maybe you could sell something else to afford it? You do have two kidneys...

Yeah hopefully I might be able to raise the extra £40-50 I will need to get 2gb of DDR2 ram, will have to see though. But will definitely be the first thing that i try to get upgraded.

Mmmm might as well drop the E6400 for the E6300, I read the 6300 can be overclocked higher than the 64 and u do save a lil bit of cash tht u can spend on something else, e.g more RAM.
