not sure if it's this m8, but someone posted this on a forum earlier :


Click on Start then run.
Type Services.msc and click ok

Scroll down to PnkBstrA right click and select properties
Stop the service  then under startup type select disabled
Do the same for PnkBstrB

Now open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\pb

Delete pnkbstrb and pnkbstrk

Now go  here http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=dl-bf2142.php

Right click PB Client v1.521 for Win32

Select save as( or save link as) , browse to

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\pb\htm and save the file

If you are asked to replace it say yes.

Now reboot your computer

The offending exe files will be gone and you can play as normal.
