And that's why single-barrel machineguns are traditionally fired in short aimed bursts. Far more accurate than minigun spray-and-pray.
Although nowhere near as fun.

You can't compare those two because the rate of fire is different. For the amount of times the minigun hit, it probably missed just as much, same for the 240. So if the 240 fired 130 rounds and missed 118 times, then the minigun probably fired 600 rounds and missed 450+ times. I believe the minigun has a 6000 rpm rate of fire? And the 240 has close to a 1000. 6-1 ratio, similar to my comparison earlier.

Time to get out a .50 with a red-dot scope or something similar on top.

haha dillon aero just wants to sell their stuff...obviously they're gonna compare their product (minigun) with something that has no chance against it (M240) http://dillonaero.com/

3000-6000, they mostly use the 3000 setting to conserve ammo.

Of course, if you put it up against a gau-8 avenger, it would make the m134 look rather silly.

Russian jets tend to use Autocannons that fire really fast.

U.S jets tend to use Gatling guns - so they are mounted on jets.

It's just that BF2 makes them seem like they fire slow. In real life you literally have like seconds of ammo. Especially for the MiG-29, i mean 150 rounds from an autocannon that fires 1,500RPM won't last long at all.

they are, the M61A1 Vulcan 6 barrel 20mm cannon is mounted on most US aircraft, then on the others its the Gau-12/U 25mm 6 barrel cannon. then on the A-10 its the Gau-8 Avenger 30mm 7 barrel cannon. 6 direct hits from an Avenger cannon penetrates a tanks armor.

The Gau-12 is mounted on the Av-8 Harrier in a 6 barrel configuration and also mounted on the F-35 in a 4 barrel config. the M61A1 is mounted on F-15s, F-16s, F-14s and the F-22.

So basically when they nerfed the blackhawks in game, they took away the 134s and gave us 240s....
