I'd rather listen to Nick Warren than Rick Warren...some nice deep house, sooo good for the soul!

Beings as the wifies dad plays trombone in the band I'm always front and center, so, that wouldn't do.

Plus, it is great theater. Jesus ( why do I felt nervous suddenly when taking the Lords name in vain ) there is a 15 piece string section, 10-20 horns, drums, percussion, piano, hamond B3. The guitarist from Ambrosia plays there often. A few weeks back Bono was there in the audience.

I'm not entirely closed minded, his message intrigues me, its just that I will never believe in the literal ressurection and believe that if man has a soul, then so does every other living thing.
The strings, horns, drums, etc sound like a church here in the Midwest.  No where near as big as that one you attended, but can seat several thousand so it's quite an experience.  My church is small, but we have a good band.  The guitarist is only 17 and he can play like you wouldn't believe.

I have a question: why are you convinced dogs have souls?  Not a dig, genuine question.

Because they experience genuine emotions. They dream. They love. They feel guilt. They conspire.

I have read a bit on Eastern religions. Some see life as a cycle.
This feels right to me.

Because it feels right, and that is why I believe it, I try not to go out of my way to bag on people who believe in God for the same reason.

A famous pastor named Rick Warren leads Saddleback Church, we're I'm going.
I'll let you know later how uncomfortable it makes me. I suck it up for the family, but man it bugs. Especially when he starts going on about how dogs don't have souls.http://i19.tinypic.com/42s1u34.gif .

I will never understand why people feel compelled to bash something whose main message is love and compassion. To encourage one another and to care for those in need. Sure we humans have a hard time doing that, but the greater message is still there and still relevant.  Evangelical Christians get picked on with a mob-like mentality because of ignorance and fear.   How many have actually read "The Purpose Driven Life" or better yet the New Testament ?

I liked the parts with the world drowning and people dying on crosses and all the other random killings in the book that says to love on another... a lot more. Sorry.

Well if you did read the Bible -especially the New Testament-you prolly wouldn't make a statement like that. The short version is that there is Good and Evil. everyone seems to forget about the evil part. I think the Good Lord would rather have us live in a perfect world (.. maybe like the Garden of Eden for instance ) but we would rather do things our own way- apart from God.   Do you believe there is Evil? Do you believe there is Good?

Because the message isn't love & compassion like you would like to think. Religions goal is the negation of mans mind & body , basically control.
I have read the bible at least 100 times front to back, yes even numbers . It makes me sick now to think of how many people are wasting their lives seeking a goal in another world not proven to even exist.
I do believe in evil & good , I happen to know what to attach to those words though.

Thas the funniest thing. Holy crap thas a lot of poop. God sends messages in strange ways. Rick Warren is a great man btw. He MADE A LOT of money...couple of millions or more, not sure...and he donated all of it to church or charity. He got all that money from his best-seller book.
