Why are so many PR players all high and mighty?

Now, I dunno about you, but I absolutley HATE when these wonderful PR players come into a regular server and start telling everyone how great Project Reality is, and how much better than BF2 it is. I mean, has anyone else ever experienced this? Look, I think PR is great and all, sure, it's easier to find teamwork, but perseonally it just pisses me off about how people go on and on about how PR is great and how people who play BF2 are nubs. Not saying all PR players are that, but oh so many of them act all high and mighty like they're better or some crap.

Well no shit, Battlefield 2 is designed as an arcade game. PR is a realism simulation. And honestly, you can get the exact same teamwork that you get in PR in BF2 by joining a good clan. I'll admit, it's much easier to find a cooperating squad in a pub in PR than in BF2. Still, I'm just pissed off at all these PR players going on about how PR has changed their lives from the "nooby" BF2.

I played PR for a day, got bored, and went back to BF2 and Dcon.

The mod can b fun for a little while, but the spawn point system royally blows

i quit PR cause i dont have the patience to wait 45+ secs to respawn on a spawnpoint that is 1000m+ away from all action and always when a round is over it takes 2 mins for the nxt one to start.

Yeah, PR is not made for everyone. I personally think that the members of the PR community are some what immature into thinking their "gameplay" is superior to everyone else, a reoccuring "asshole attitude" as someone on their forums stated. But everyone has their own opinions. PR however is quite fun, but next time you run into one of them, either ignore them or just tell them to stick with PR.

Also, I find it quite ironic that they would go back to vBF2 and try to get players to download the mod then going over to the PR forums and see everyone bitching about "vanilla BF2 noobs."

I'll admit the spawn point and death penalty parts of PR are rather annoying, but I still find the mod really fun, fun enough to keep playing. I've never ran into others in BF2 saying it's so great but I encourage anyone who is interested in it to download it and try it. I'm sorry you've run into these people but I like both games equally well and spend time in both of them.

Admit it, you only like PR because of the M14.

Quilty as charged, that was the primary reason I downloaded it. However it grew on me for other aspects. But yes, I'm only there for the M-14.

Well i simply consider PR a better game then bf2. Its funner imo, and you CANT match the teamwork used in PR to anything in bf2. And my personal Fav, theres no one man army's!

PR is just to limiting for me.i don't care if it's realistic or not,i don't want every kit to have the exact same weapon.when i want to snipe,i'm gonna snipe,and when i want to pilot a jet,i'm gonna pilot a jet.plus i hate the spawn times and the fact that the action is so far spread out.vanilla is just more fun.

I like them both. I go back and forth when I get bored of the other. Sometimes I play vanilla and it's bullshit how some of the things the other team does are so unrealistic and it's frustrating so i go to PR. Sometimes playing vanilla it gets boring how slow things move and I just want to shoot some bad guys so I go to vanilla.

But yeah guys who go to vanilla and preach about how they are better than everyone are dumb.

Agreed. However, I've only once played on a Vanilla server since downloading PR, so I wouldn't know about people trying to sort of 'convert' others. Really, I play PR because it's a nice change and AustralianSniper actually knows how to lead a squad. Hence, people get killed very rarely with him around, and even if they do, he's usually still alive for us to spawn on.

Once again, R3v4n speaks the truth. The teamwork far surpasses BF2, but, as always, only if the others are willing to cooperate. Which is usually the case, or they get kicked from the squad and I enter. I remember seeing a one-man locked squad (this server didn't even use ABR, so he couldn't have gained anything from it) and I laughed and laughed.

R3v4n, you should join the Bigdy forums. It's handy to know what's going on with the server.
